Media On Demand’s roots are in the sports arena. The first sports event to be webcast in the UK was when we launched a greyhound racing service for Ladbrokes in 2001. Streaming media and Media On Demand have come a long way since those early pioneering days!
Over the years we have been a leading provider to the sports market. We have filmed, produced and hosted many sports web events with recent assignments including snooker action of the World Snooker Championships from the Crucible and the finals of the World Poker Crown from Barcelona. We have also produced a series of training videos for the Lawn Tennis Association that can be accessed by the over 3000 LTA Associated Tennis Clubs around the UK. We develop applications using both Flash and Windows Media and our global Content Delivery Network provides unlimited bandwidth for Flash, Windows Media and Silverlight streaming.
